The unique feature of my smart wishlist template is that it includes a waiting range for each item you add to your wishlist.
How Does Hot Smart Wishlist Work?
When you add a new item to your wishlist based on the price, the template automatically adds a waiting time. Items in the waitlist are shown in red, and you are not allowed to purchase any item before that time. This is a psychological trick that encourages you to develop a more mindful approach to buying and can save you a lot of money if used correctly.
This is a proven method: waiting at least 72 hours before making a purchase can significantly help cut spending.

How to Make a Wishlist in Notion
Do you want to create a wishlist in Notion? Here's a simple step-by-step tutorial:
First, let's create a new Notion page.
- Add a new inline database table.
- Delete the default tag property.
- Add the following properties: "Created Time", "Price", "Category", "Status", "URL", and "File & Media".
- The "Price" property should be a number property with the number format as your currency.
- The "Category" property should be a select property.
- The "File & Media" property should be your image property.
- The "Status" property should be a Status property. Customize it with three statuses. Use "To-do" as your Wishlist status.
- You can view your wishlist as a table list by default. If you plan to curate your wishlist with images as well, you can add a gallery view. Be sure to set the card preview to the "File & Media" property that we created before and to show all properties in the gallery view.
Now that we have our wishlist, we can add items to it manually. But an even better option is to use the web clipper feature in Notion to clip items directly from the web. You can do that with the Official Web Clipper for Notion or with the Save to Notion extension.
In this tutorial, I'll refer to the Save to Notion extension:
- Download and install Save to Notion.
- Open the extension and click on "Add New Form". The form allows you to set the database you want the webpage to be saved in.
- Select the wishlist database name.
- Customize the fields and add the price field, the URL field, and the image field.
- Save and go back.
- Now you can simply clip items from the web to your wishlist!
If you want, you can share your wishlist. To do so, click on "Share" at the top of the Notion page. You can invite your family members or friends with an email, or you can share it to the web, grab the shared URL, and send it over.
